NexGen Utility Sales Welcomes Kalyn Mehaffey as Inside Sales Specialist

[Forest, Virginia] - We’re excited to welcome Kalyn Mehaffey to NexGen Utility Sales as our newest Inside Sales Specialist! Kalyn brings years of experience, deep local roots, and a passion for people that perfectly align with our mission of delivering excellence in the electric utility industry.

Originally from Bedford County, Virginia, Kalyn moved to Lynchburg, VA to attend Lynchburg College (now the University of Lynchburg), where she graduated in 2015 with a strong foundation in communication and business. After starting her professional career, Kalyn focused on raising her two children-Kannon and Reign-before returning to the workforce in 2021.

Most recently, Kalyn served as a Business Development Coordinator at Guild Mortgage, where she sharpened her skills in customer relations, outreach, and sales strategy. Her work there set the stage for her new role in the utility sales industry. With over 15 years of customer service experience and four years in business development, she’s ready to support sales operations and strengthen relationships with our utility customers and manufacturer partners.

She’s excited to be part of a manufacturers’ representative firm that values both professionalism and personal connection.

Kalyn is inspired by authentic leadership, entrepreneurship, and finding joy in simple things-like cooking for loved ones, celebrating birthdays, and spending time in nature. She’s a birthday cheerleader, a plant enthusiast (with over 30 houseplants), and a devoted mom and partner who brings presence and heart into every role she plays.

She also shares her home with a sweet American Bully pup named Hazel and two Netherland Dwarf bunnies, BunBun and Luna.
