Megan Reed Joins NexGen Utility Sales as Marketing Account Specialist

[Forest, VA] - We’re excited to welcome Megan to NexGen Utility Sales as our new Marketing Account Specialist!

Originally from Yorktown and now based in Lynchburg, Megan brings a strong background in graphic design, branding, digital marketing, and creative problem solving to the NexGen team. As NexGen continues growing its marketing and client support capabilities across the utility, energy, and industrial industries, Megan’s experience and creativity will play an important role in helping support both internal initiatives and client-facing projects.

Educational Background and Marketing Experience

Megan earned her Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design with a minor in Business from Liberty University in May 2025. During her junior and senior years, she interned with Liberty University’s Marketing Department as a student graphic designer, where she gained hands-on experience in visual communication, branding, and digital content creation.

Prior to joining NexGen, Megan worked as Marketing and Brand Coordinator for Southern Trace Builders. In that role, she coordinated trade shows, designed both print and digital marketing materials, captured on-site project photography, and managed social media content. Her experience balancing multiple fast-moving projects helped strengthen her organizational skills and ability to deliver creative marketing solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Supporting Marketing Growth as a Marketing Account Specialist

At NexGen, Megan will support a variety of marketing initiatives for industry businesses. From branding and graphic design to digital content and trade show support, she is excited to contribute to projects that help clients strengthen their visibility and customer engagement.

Outside of work, Megan enjoys gardening, houseplants, and creative projects. Fun fact: she also has a twin sister!
