Meet Tyler Lingan: Turning Utility Experience Into Customer Solutions
[August 24th, 2026 | Forest, VA] - We’re excited to welcome Tyler Lingan to the NexGen team as a Territory Sales Manager serving South Florida and Puerto Rico!
Based in Jupiter, Florida, Tyler brings several years of experience across utility operations, infrastructure, construction, supply chain, and project management. His career has given him a firsthand understanding of the challenges utilities face when it comes to reliability, resiliency, and delivering critical infrastructure projects.
Now, he’s bringing that experience to NexGen.
From Infrastructure to Utility Sales
Tyler’s career has centered around projects that have a tangible impact on the communities they serve. His experience spans infrastructure recovery, project management, utility operations, and large-scale capital programs.
Most recently, Tyler worked with Florida Power & Light, supporting major programs focused on grid hardening, storm resiliency, and undergrounding.
Through that work, Tyler had the opportunity to collaborate with engineering, operations, construction, and leadership teams to help move complex infrastructure projects forward.
That experience gives him a unique perspective as he steps into his role with NexGen. He understands the importance of reliable infrastructure not just from a sales perspective, but from the utility side as well.
“The utility industry appealed to me because of the critical role it plays in reliability, resilience, and keeping things running when people need them most,” Tyler shared.
Building Relationships and Solving Problems
As Territory Sales Manager, Tyler will work directly with utilities and industry partners throughout South Florida and Puerto Rico, helping customers identify practical, value-driven solutions for their projects and infrastructure needs.
His background in utility and infrastructure projects means he understands many of the challenges customers are navigating, from grid reliability and storm preparedness to large-scale construction and underground infrastructure.
For Tyler, the opportunity is about more than products.
“I’m excited about the opportunity to work directly with utilities and industry partners to help solve challenges, improve reliability, and bring value-driven solutions to customers,” he said.
He’s also looking forward to building new relationships throughout the industry and learning from the experienced team at NexGen.
A Business Foundation with a Project-Focused Career
Tyler earned his degree in Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island.
Since then, he has built a career that combines business, infrastructure, project management, and utility experience. Along the way, he has developed a strong appreciation for collaboration and practical problem-solving.
“I’m inspired by solving complex problems, building strong relationships, and being part of projects that make a meaningful impact,” Tyler said.
That mindset fits right in with NexGen’s relationship-first approach and our goal of being a resource our customers and manufacturer partners can count on.
Beyond the Business
When Tyler isn’t working, you’ll likely find him outside.
He enjoys spending time at the beach, hiking, fishing, hunting, and competing in shooting sports. Whether he’s out on the water or exploring a trail, Tyler enjoys staying active and taking advantage of the outdoors.
And if you’re looking for a fun fact to break the ice with Tyler, here’s a good one:
He’s been practicing hot yoga for almost five years!
We’re excited to have Tyler bring his utility experience, project-focused perspective, and relationship-driven approach to NexGen.
Welcome to the team, Tyler! We’re glad to have you with us.
